Cookie & Local Storage Policy

Effective Date: October 18, 2026 • Last Updated: October 2026

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Local storage is a standard browser feature that allows web applications to store data locally within the user's browser. Both mechanisms are designed to remember your preferences and ensure continuous, reliable functionality.

2. How Homework Hub Uses Storage

Essential Session Authentication

Used by Firebase Authentication to keep educators logged in to their Teacher Dashboard securely. These cookies expire when you log out.

Student Draft Auto-Save (Local Storage)

When a student is completing a homework assignment, their entered text and answers are auto-saved to local browser storage in real time. If their tab accidentally closes or the device reloads, their answers are preserved rather than lost.

User Interface Preferences

Remembers your chosen language setting (English, Thai, or Filipino) and Clef AI robot helper position.

3. Google AdSense & Advertising Cookies

To maintain Homework Hub as a complimentary educational resource for teachers and students, we display contextually relevant advertisements through Google AdSense.

Google uses cookies, such as the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other websites across the web. You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network Privacy Policy.

4. How to Manage or Disable Cookies

Most modern web browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences through their settings menu. You can configure your browser to block or alert you about cookies, or clear existing cookies. Please note that disabling essential storage may prevent you from saving homework drafts or logging in as a teacher.
